Highlights of Malta - Full Day Tour
Pick up from hotel at around 09.00 hrs.
And drive up the Malta coast road to visit Mosta Dome - the third largest unsupported
Dome in Europe.
Then proceed to Ta' Qali Crafts Village, visiting local crafts manufacturers including
a Glass Factory, Gold and Silver Filigree Works, and many others. The tour then
continues onto Mdina - the Silent City, for a walk through this medieval walled
City, where time for lunch or light snack is also allowed.
In the afternoon, a drive down South West to Wied iz-Zurrieq, visiting Blue Grotto
- a Mystic Sea Cave with a deep bottom reflecting the brilliant colours of marine
fauna. (an optional 25 min boat trip is also available). This is followed by a visit
to a Maltese Quarry where the local limestone is cut.
The tour ends at the Picturesque Fishing Village of Marsaxlokk with a warm cup of
tea or coffee.
Gozo - the Sister Island - Full Day Tour
Pick up from the hotel at 08.15 hrs to drive up north to take an early
25mins Car Ferry Crossing to the Sister Island of Gozo. Upon disembarkation the
tour starts off with a visit Xewkija Basilka - one of the finest examples of limestone
Craftsmanship on the islands. Then on to Ggantija Temples - the oldest free standing
megalithic structure in the World. Then for some free time or coffee break at Victoria
- the Capital City of Gozo.
Then onto Marsalforn, a Picturesque Fishing Village with plenty of fish restaurants,
a popular summer resort for the locals. After lunch a drive to the other side of
the island of Gozo, to see the Azur Window and the inland Sea, and Xlendi Bay -
an old fishing village surrounded by sheer cliffs followed by a return boat trip
to Malta.
The Three Cities - Half Day Tour
Pick up from hotel at 09.30 hrs to drive down south starting from Senglea
-L'Isla, visiting the church of Our Lady of Victory known for its miraculous healings,
driving through the Docker's Town of Cospicua - Bormla. Stop for a hot cup of tea
or coffee and then onto Vittoriosa - Birgu, the first city of the Knights of the
Order of St. John showing years of ancient and modern history in one city.
Valletta - The Capital City - Half Day Tour
Pick up at 09.30 hrs and drive to the lower part of Valletta admiring thebastions
and the fortifications and a marvellours view of the Grand Harbour, opposite the
Three Cities. Time to visit St. John's Co-Cathedral built by the Knights of the
Order of St. John. The marble floor is covered in Coat of Arms of the Knights whose
tombs are in the caves. The most priceless famous painting of the Caravaggio - The
Beheading of St. John is on display here in safe place.
Saturday Fireworks - Night Tour
Pick up from the hotel after dinner at approximately 20.30 hrs to experience
a spectacular Maltese Tradition, when every weekend a local village will have a
FIREWORKS DISPLAY on the Eve of the Festa. Once there, a visit to the Parrish Church,
splendidly decorated to fit the occasion. A walk through the streets all lit up
and decorated, with various stalls of local sweet and the traditional Village Brass
Band
